About Zack

I have spent the last 12 years in marketing agencies and tech startups, and in my time at those companies, I have had all the highs that come with hitting goals, landing big clients, getting promotions, and all the lows of knowing layoffs are coming, seeing clients lose their businesses and personally, hitting a complete burn out that had me struggling to do the basic functions of my job without feeling like I was having a nervous breakdown.

So I started talking about the things I had seen and felt.
I started talking about my mental health struggles, I stopped pretending that I was fully bought in on this system that expects us to put our personal lives on hold and be on call 24/7.

When I did this, I found that I wasn’t the only one unhappy with the career I was building.
I wasn’t the only one who wanted more humanity in the workplace.

That is the seed that Grinding to a Halt has grown from.

I want people to dream big.
I want people to push themselves.

And I want people to know that the dudes selling life coaching on LinkedIn don't have the answer they are just perpetuating the problem.
Grinding, Husteling, being an Alpha.
It’s all bullshit.

I want people to know some people and companies are changing the culture, they tend to get drowned out by the status quo so I want to shine a light on them.

I want people to know that you can be a creator and make a living.
They can find contentment outside of work.
They don't have to follow the set path.
They can be themselves and be successful.

And no one should feel like they have to work themselves to death just to make a living.
